MIFF: Touch Me

Two best friends become addicted to the touch of an alien being who may or may not be trying to destroy Earth.

"Touch Me" is a delightfully bizarre production. The plot is simple but manages to explore themes of codependency, addiction, obsessive behaviour and sexual experimentation while revolving around a perfectly unhinged, megalomaniac pansexual alien. An ensemble cast delivers outstanding performances across the board. The restrained but unsettling portrayal of the alien and his human sidekick is impeccable, but the opening monologue from our heroine is particularly captivating as she explains outlandish things with such a straight face that you have no choice but to believe her.
