Touch is a romance recounted with tenderness. Scenes shift from the present to the past as the audience follows the memories and recollections of a man losing his faculties. There's depth to the feelings of the protagonists, their passion is honest yet without urgency. Time stretches and expands for them, and as a result, the movie runtime drags a little. As yearning is reflected in the emptiness of hotels and outdoor spaces during the global lockdown, we're left with an odd disconnect with the story. The way we were.
