I Saw the TV Glow

Sci-Fi Horror Drama LGBTQI

In the 1960s two teenagers become obsessed with a late-night, cult supernatural television show that changes their lives.

I Saw the TV Glow has all the appeal of an angsty adolescent, exploring themes of anxiety, loneliness, and longing for connection while feeling the pain of social exclusion. It's hard to love. The storyline is indistinct, so audiences can draw their own conclusions about what it might all mean. It's easy to link low-key action to themes of identity or culture, the production is malleable that way, it just depends on how hard you want to consider and unfold the writer/director's intent. Where's the remote?
