Axel Foley returns to Beverly Hills after his daughter's life is threatened, working with old pals John Taggart and Billy Rosewood to uncover a conspiracy.

Did this 40-year-old franchise really need another instalment? Probably not, but for those longing to bask in the nostalgia of its iconic and remarkably well-aged characters, "Beverly Hills Cops: Axel F" is a lot of fun. Unsurprisingly, the plot is rather pedestrian but remains loyal to its origins, including epic car chases where entire fleets of police vehicles are destined for the wrecking yard. Once the sentimentality wears off, the film leans heavily on fresh faces to close the investigation. One for the fans only. Ah he he he he.
